Backpack and Clothes!

Quick update...I went home to visit some friends and the family this last weekend and also picked up a backpack & clothes! My birthday is just around the corner so I was treated very nicely by my family at REI & Helly Hansen! This is the backpack I got, The Osprey Argon 85 Series. It's amazing! I also got a great deal on some quick-dry light-weight outdoor pants at REI as well as some quick-dry and well-ventelated shirts from Helly Hansen. Oh! I'm really starting to get excited now and everything seems to be coming together for this experience. It's also great that I am able to chat with other volunteers who are either going or are already in Benin. We're all so nervous and clueless as to what to expect. So who wants to go explore the Voodoo Market with me? And remember, Kevin- we're supposed to check out what it would take to Canoe down the river or around the lagoons, as long as we stay clear of the hippo's and gators.
