In Porto novo now...

Well, I am now located in the capitol of Benin Porto Novo.  Sorry if there are errosr in this post, totally not used to the french keyboards yet.  But I am at a cyber cafe just checkin up on things.  I am living with q very friendly and hospitable host family.  Papa is a retired bike cop and has two sons and two daughters.  I have a room and living room.  Outside my sleeping room is the outside stove so it always smells like smoke and qbout 83 degrees no mqtter the time of day.  I have to take bucket showers and use a latrine and get my water from the well in the courtyard.  Not too bad really.  But since the culture is different here I get served a MASSIVE amount of food that I can never finish, and its always served by one of the wome and I either eat alone or with papa...Occasionally with my host brother too.  But they are excited to have me stay and laugh at my goofy american ways...Or stop me before eating with my left hand.  Silverware is optional here.  But the cyber cafe is at a plqce ze meet at every tuesday and costs 250CFA per hour...which is about 50 cents.  Butmy time is about up now so I will update more later.  If you want ,e to write to you send me your address.  Au Revoir!
