Anyone that knows me real well knows that I care tremendously about our two dogs Eli & Ozzy. Eli is about 11 and Ozzy is almost 2, and they are both Golden Retrievers. Right now Eli is laying on my bed with a t-shirt on because he just had surgery to remove some bumps…the t-shirt prevents him from licking his wounds rather than the giant cone. During the day when I am at home with nothing to do I typically just hang out with the dogs and take them on walks occasionally and play with them outside. They are my entertainment and I don’t know how I’ll cope on the ship without seeing them every day. I did see a photo album somewhere online, can’t remember where, that was of one of the Disney ships and there was a golden retriever on board. I’m guessing it was a therapy dog. Ozzy is in training to become a therapy dog so that makes me wonder if he gets certified then could he come on the ship when my parents come to visit? Something I’ll be sure to check on! Below is a picture of the two dogs sitting so kindly with Santa. It took about 5 minutes to snap a picture and 2 seconds for them to pull Santa off of his seat and onto the ground. One second after this picture was taken one of the helpers decided it would be a great idea to bang on a huge lid from a storage bin to try to get the dogs attention and look up. Oh boy was he in for a surprise. The dogs bolted forward with Santa hanging tightly onto their collars. A Crowd of about 10 were watching, all laughed, and Santa was on the floor. I thought the whole scene was spectacular. In the picture you can see the personalities of the dogs coming out…Eli (on the right) looks scared to death and wants nothing to do with this while Ozzy could care less and well…who knows what’s going on in his head, probably humming a song.
