I have Internet! kind of…

Yesterday we were in port at Cape Canaveral and luckily one of my coworkers has a car here!  So we went to walmart and the mall, and of course, IHOP.  I was then able to pull out some cash to use on board to buy an internet card.  So now I have access to the internet when I want, until the balance runs out.  I bought a $20 card, which uses ten cents a minute.  But I really won’t be on much – just to check email and update the blog.  When I have time I will upload some pictures.  Currently we are docked at Nassau and I actually have 5 hours off or so today in the afternoon to go explore.  So I’m just waiting for her to clock out and change then we’re heading ashore.  Other than Castaway Cay this will be my first time on a public Bahamian island!

But things are going great!  We just finished lunch with our Training Officer.  We had it at one of the restaurants onboard and it was delicious!  We ate at Tritons which is a semi-formal French style cuisine.  I had some training earlier this morning and have to be back at work at 6 and work until 12:00am. I will write more later, but for now I’m going to take a quick nap.  We were up until about 2:15am last night for a team building exercise…It was basically the two different Youth Activities groups versus each other in a ship-wide capture the flag type game…it was awesome.   Cheers!
